Winner of JEC Innovation Award

Yachtwerft meyer wins JEC Innovation Award
Together with it´s partner “fibretech composites” and the University of Dortmund yachtwerft meyer invented a most innovative carbon heating technology “fibretemp” using the conductivity of carbon fibres to heat plastic moulds.

The fibretemp system saves energy of up to 90% compared to moulds which are externally heated. Compared with conventional manufacturing processes and commenly used materials weight reductions of up to 60% and even more can be achieved. The stiffness and the strength remains the same.

Therefore the fibretemp system with it´s outstanding energy efficiency is most interesting for industrial production e.g. wind power plant industry, aircraft and airospace industry.
